The NT COVID Emergency Response Workforce: Working to Keep the NT Safe
Abstract
The Northern Territory has proven to be one of the safest places in Australia and the world during the COVID-19 pandemic. This wasn’t just luck however, with over 100 cases moving across the NT’s airports, quarantine facilities, health services and pathology laboratories it has been a multidisciplinary and well-structured pandemic response keeping communities safe. In this seminar we meet Angela Sheedy who has been working as the COVID-19 Emergency Response Workforce Educator for the Department of Health. Angela presents an overview of the diverse and innovative core responses formed as part of the NT COVID-19 pandemic response.

About Angela Sheedy
Angela has lived and worked in the NT for over 20 years with a career which has spanned across the acute health sector, public health and tertiary health education, to now focusing on keeping communities COVID safe. As a registered nurse with qualifications in public health and education development, Angela currently works as the Emergency Response Educator for the NT Department of Health. This latest position keeps her busy educating across the NT ensuring we have a COVID-19 safe workforce.
